Lucia Diaz-Martin is a Senior Policy Associate (with a focus on Gender) at J-PAL Global where she translates findings from rigorous impact evaluation research into actionable lessons for policymakers and practitioners around the world. Prior to joining J-PAL, Lucia worked for NGOs based in Latin America, including a microfinance and women's development organization and Habitat for Humanity's Guatemala headquarters. As a graduate student, Lucia worked on short-term projects for UN Women's Europe and Central Asia regional office and also completed a program evaluation for a network of youth homeless shelters in Central America.
Lucia has an MPA with a concentration in Economic and Political Development from Columbia University. She also holds a bachelor's degree in Anthropology from Yale University.
